Filmmakers have just over two weeks left to get their feature, short and documentary entries in for the upcoming 2022 Capricorn Film Festival.
After the continued success and growth of submissions over the past few years, the seventh edition of Central Queensland’s premiere film festival has already received a record number of submissions and Festival Director Luke Graham and team countdown the final few weeks for submissions of its highly successful destination event.
“Every year the quality of International, national and Central Queensland filmmakers raise the bar. Their production and storytelling skills are going to give our judges real challenges in having to select winners. We also have some very talented people finding their way into the industry and creating some truly exciting films,” said Luke Graham (Festival Founder and Director).
Short films from Bundaberg to Yeppoon will compete win two categories, CAPS Open and CAPS Junior. The short film competition also includes CAPS Short and CAPS EXperimental, which is open to filmmakers from the rest of Australia and internationally.

The category Central Queensland residents over 18 years of age is CAPS Open, with the winner receiving cash, trophy and mentorship through a professional production.
