2023 Best in Business Award nominations close 11 October

Capricorn Enterprise and Capricornia Chamber of Commerce are joining forces once again to present the 2023 Best in Business Awards.

Celebrating local businesses and enterprises that make our community truly unique, the awards provide a pivotal platform to highlight our exceptional broad industry drivers who are using innovation and expertise to move the region forward.

As leaders in regional business and industry engagement, Capricorn Enterprise and Capricornia Chamber of Commerce developed the awards process as an apolitical, business-focussed event, independently judged by a panel of six industry experts.

Nominations in the following nine categories are now open until 11 October:

Best New Business (sponsored by Apprentices and Trainees Queensland)

Best Small Business (sponsored by Evans Edwards)

Best Community Enterprise (sponsored by Stanwell)

Best Large and Medium Business (sponsored by IPA)

Best Sustainable Business (sponsored by Telstra)

Best Employee as nominated by an Employer (sponsored by Vector Health)

Best Apprentice or Trainee as nominated by an Employer (sponsored by Johnson’s 4WD Repair Shop)

Best Business Manager or Owner (sponsored by Piranha Insurance Brokers)

People’s Choice

This year’s Awards will once again provide a positive impact on businesses and people across our community and celebrate many local operators who provide excellence within our region, making it a superb place to work, live and play.

With an array of categories fitting every type of industry, regardless of size, we encourage as many local businesses as possible from across Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast to enter.

We are pleased to introduce new award categories this year including Best Sustainable Business and Best Owner/Manager, which both highlight superior outcomes across business operations.

The Best in Business Awards are reliant upon sponsorships to ensure we can deliver a highly successful process which celebrates hard work, effort, teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

Nominations for all categories are to be submitted through the online nomination portal – capricornenterprise.com.au/2023-rockhampton-capricorn-coast-best-in-business-awards/.

Nominating businesses need to be registered within the Local Government Areas of Rockhampton Regional Council or Livingstone Shire Council.

The Best in Business Awards will bring the entire business community together on 2 December for an end of year Gala Awards Celebration held under the stars at Keppel Bay Marina.

The formal Awards night, hosted by Channel 7’s popular Creek to Coast presenter Chris Parsons, will feature three courses and a beverage package, with pre-dinner and after-party entertainment featuring songstress Kate Mahood and local rockers MATH proudly sponsored by Pat O’Driscoll Real Estate.

Tickets to the Gala Awards Celebration are on sale now – www.ivvy.com.au/event/XFE1E8/
