Design a new logo for RYO

Next year the Rockhampton Youth Orchestra Inc. is celebrating its 50th anniversary and we are looking for a new logo!

If your concept for the new logo is selected, you will win $100.

Entries need to be submitted by 5pm, Friday, 13 October.

The logo must be a fun and funky image showing the enjoyment of music and instruments.

Images in the logo must not be a direct copy of any existing artwork potentially breaching any existing copyright protection.

The winner does not have to be a member of the Rockhampton Youth Orchestra.

Remember, simplicity aids recognition, so we are looking for a simple logo that can easily be recognised as the Rockhampton Youth Orchestra Inc.

The logo will be used in many ways, in many mediums.

It should work well in print, online, and at different sizes.

If your logo is too complicated, it won’t render well at smaller sizes.

If it’s too generic, it won’t be distinctive enough to grab attention.

It can include colours, but it also needs to look good when printed in black and white.

A professional graphic designer will be engaged to turn the winning concept into the required mediums for future use.

Let your creativity and love of music shine through.

All entries will be judged on Saturday, 14 October, with judging to be held at the Rockhampton Youth Orchestra’s Room.

Entries must be received by 5pm, Friday, 13 October

Email rockhamptonyouthorchestra@gmail.com or post to The Rockhampton Youth Orchestra Inc, PO Box 5816, Central Qld Mail Centre, Red Hill, Rockhampton Qld 4702.

For more information phone 0417 559 990.

The RYO Inc. Committee decision will be final. Good luck!
