Living in the moment

“Dreams aren’t what you leave behind when morning comes, they are the stuff that fill your every living moment” – David Cuschieri.

Lately I have become increasingly aware of some of my dreams sitting on the shelf collecting dust.

I’ve been getting so swept up in the ‘now’ and the whitewash of life’s waves, that they have been banished to the ‘maybe later’ pile.

I believe aspirations are important and they provide us a whole new sense of purpose.

We all have dreams.

The ambitions that get us out of bed every morning, the urge to accomplish great things and test ourselves on new levels.

Our aspirations give us something good to hold onto when we endure the bad days.

They remind us of our purpose, give us something to always be working towards, inspire us to reach new heights and make the ‘impossible’ possible.

The beauty of our aspirations is that they are untouchable by the world around us.

Nothing and no one can take away the magic and shine on what we want to do with our lives.

It’s our own personal pathway and only we have been equipped with the pavers that keep us stepping forward on steady ground.

I have been dreaming a dream for a while now that I have often concluded was too big for little old me.

Suddenly the surge of excuses sweeps through my mind that build up a force to hold me back and it ultimately pushes that goal further out of my reach.

I know I’m not the only one to experience this.

I’m opening the door and my mind to possibilities.

I hope we can all find the courage to dust off any dreams we have let sit idly by for too long.

We only have one life, we owe it to ourselves to live our best one.

We can do anything we put our minds to if we stay focused, stay inquisitive about life and open to trying new things.

Our road can lead us anywhere.

If we have the dream, the drive and the map, we can go wherever we like and that is so exciting.
