Pompano Seafood Deli has provided Central Queensland with delicious and unique dishes for the past three years and is excited about what this year will bring.

Owner Lacey Spence said although she jumped into the deep end when she started Pompano Seafood Deli in 2020, she has never looked back.

“It was through the enjoyment of food and cooking and what it brings. I then wanted to share that with people,” Ms Spence said.

“Our customers are great, and you get to meet such a diverse range of people.”

Over the year, Pompano Seafood Deli will be stationed at Coorooman Creek and Capricornia Cruising Yacht Club.

“We will still be doing some events but wanted to maintain more consistency for our customers,” Ms Spence said.

“To see where we are and what we are serving, it is best to visit our Facebook and Instagram accounts.”

Described as a seafood lover’s paradise, Pompano Seafood Deli has something for everyone.

“We try to keep it simple but put a different spin on things,” she said.

“There are dishes we love that may not traditionally incorporate seafood, so we make it our own.”

“Our seafood chowder is a staple item, with the rest of the menu changing frequently to give people variety.”

Ms Spence said Pompano Seafood Deli uses the freshest ingredients to ensure the quality of her food, including that from her leading seafood supplier Rosslyn Bay Fish Market.

“We’ve got a good relationship with them, and it’s more personal when dealing with someone local,” she said.

“They know what you’re about and appreciate and understand the importance of supporting small businesses.

“People can now also find our take away seafood chowder packs at Rosslyn Bay Fish Market, where they simply reheat at home.”
