Our beaches from the air

Today’s aerial photo was taken from a helicopter in November 2021.

Visitors to the Capricorn Coast have the opportunity to view the area from a sightseeing helicopter that departs from near Mount Baga (formerly known as Mount Jim Crow).

This is the view over Kemp and Mulambin Beaches looking south towards Emu Park.

Bluff Point, also known as Kemp Hill, is located at the southern end of Kemp Beach. It is part of the Capricorn National Park and is popular with walkers with its panoramic views of the coast and hinterland.

To its right is Mulambin Beach, the Causeway Lake and Kinka Beach. Pinnacle Point is at the mouth of the creek and the rocky island in the bay is Creek Rock – a seagull rockery.

Beyond Tanby Point, on the next headland, is Emu Park.’
