Irish eyes smiling for seniors

North Rockhampton Senior Citizens Club Inc held their annual St Patrick’s Day senior luncheon on Friday, 17 March, with groups coming from Bluecare Rockhampton and Bluecare Yeppoon, as well as seniors and pensioners from Mount Morgan and Rockhampton.

Volunteers served morning tea and a two-course luncheon which included Irish stew and dessert.

Viv and Karen Jenkinson entertained the large crowd with country and western music as well as Irish songs.

We wish them well in their travels. Some of our clients dressed up and a lovely lady from Mount Morgan won best dressed lady and Roy and Gwen Guthrie won best dressed couple. It was a great day.

On Friday, 31 March, the North Rockhampton Senior Citizens Club will host their annual Easter celebrations with a seniors luncheon, an Easter bonnet/hat parade as well as egg and Spoon Races, starting from 9.30am and concluding at about 1pm.

Cost is $10 per person. Carers are free. There will be lucky door prizes, money raffles as well as an Easter raffle.

Bookings are required by telephoning the club on 4928 2320.
