Visit from Stanwell

Recently we had the pleasure of inviting members of the Stanwell Corporation to visit our shed to see first-hand where the grant money they had given us was spent.

Also Steph McMahon, general manager of Stanwell Corporation, was invited to officially switch on the planner connected to the Cyclone Dust Extractor system.

Steph told us that not very often they get the chance to see the final outcome of grant money spent so this was gratifying to them.

The Gracemere Men’s Shed Inc was pleased to receive this grant that enables us to purchase new and better quality machinery like this, as in the past Stanwell Corporation has helped the Gracemere Men’s Shed Inc a number of times and all members are most grateful for their generosity.

After the demonstration of how the planner works, we enjoyed a relaxing morning tea as members spoke about the things we do in the shed for ourselves and the public. This gave the members of Stanwell Corporation a good well informed insight into how and what our shed stands for – like health, relieving boredom and loneliness.
