New signage for ‘Bunker’

A couple of years ago, Dan Evans visited the Capricorn Coast Historical Society for the first time. He and his wife Jenny were interested in finding out more about the origin of their Yeppoon home after having been told that it had possibly been relocated from Mount Morgan.

Even though they had been longtime Yeppoon residents, neither realised that the local historical society was tucked behind the Yeppoon Town Hall at 25 Normanby St in ‘The Bunker’.

Dan ended up joining the society and has become a valuable member, helping refine the society’s research capabilities.

In order to make it easier for locals and visitors alike to find ‘The Bunker’, there is now clear signage. A local business, OSP Safety and Signs, has generously donated the sign as well as helping sponsor the society’s calendar.
