U3A Network Queensland kicked off their annual conference at Rockhampton Museum of Art on Monday, 8 May, with activities continuing throughout the week at CQUniversity.
Special guests included Professor Francois Vellas, president of the international U3A body, and his wife Chantel.
U3A is an adult education movement which promotes lifelong learning for seniors.
It was formed 50 years ago by Professor Vellas’ father Pierre in France and quickly spread throughout the world.
