U3A general meeting and book launch

U3A Rockhampton and District is launching their latest booklet, “Boy, can we tell you some tales about this place!”

The booklet will explore some of the quirkier stories of Rockhampton’s history, which U3A’s Writing for Pleasure group has put together.

The launch will be held at Southside Library on 31 March from 10am.

Contact the library on 4936 8043 to book a seat.

On Tuesday, 4 April, from 9am, at the Frenchville Sports Club, U3A will have its general meeting with guest speaker Kelly Smith from the Council Waste and Recycling.

Members are urged to bring items they wish to have identified as recyclable.

For more information, phone President Cheryl Wickes on 0428 452 836.
