Oppressive heat being felt far and wide

A rare 4000km long and (mainly) 500km wide thick pre-monsoonal cloudband (PMC) extends from Darwin, through Mount Isa, Longreach, Charleville, Roma, Moree and Dubbo to Sydney. This has resulted in the oppressive heat being felt by Central Queenslanders this week. (Supplied)
